We will first discuss how to identify who Gummy Bear Clients are and in future blogs will discuss strategies in dealing with them.

Anyone who is willing and able to give you money for your products and services automatically qualifies as a good customer- Right? NO. This is generally not the case.

Gummy Bear Customers is a lot like having chewing gum on the bottom of your shoe. Just like gum, Gummy Bear Clients slows down your business, makes you stop and creates a sticky mess that you will have to clean.

How to identify a Gummy Bear Customer -

  • Hour long meetings quickly become a 3 hour meetings. And you walk away saying...How did that happen?
  • They promise you important documents / images / payment / or other important information which stops the entire project in your tracks.
  • They negociate for big price breaks now with the "promise" that they willl either give you more future business or refer so many customers your profits will double or triple.

Gummy Bears have nothing to do with providing good customer service; rather they are not your ideal customer and ultimately cost you time and money with the promise that you will get something more in the end.
